TAGIE™ Awards 2008 Criteria and Nominations

Chi-TAG and TAGIE congratulates the TOTY® Award winners provided by the Toy Industry Association, Inc for product excellence that encompasses many criteria. Creativity, originality, overall design, graphic design and packaging, marketing and sales data. The TOTY® Award recipients are selected by TIA Board of Directors and TIA members. The TOTY Award is, indeed, a very prestigious award.
The TAGIE™ Award is designed only to celebrate the creativity, originality and accomplishments of the inventor and is not solely based upon sales or excellent packaging and marketing for a specific product. The TAGIE award promises to be a prestigious award to receive, as the recipients are nominated by their peers - fellow inventors and industry professionals. Please help us celebrate and recognize the importance of the "soul of our industry" and nominate a deserving inventor today! The TAGIE Award ceremony will also be presenting this year's Lifetime Achievement Award to the retiring Jeffrey Breslow of Big Monster Toys (BMT).

What are the Awards and Who Can Nominate?
Toy and Game Company Industry Professionals and Toy and Game Inventors may nominate individuals to receive our Excellence in Game Inventing - Excellence in Toy Inventing and "Rookie" Rising Star Inventor of the Year Awards.
Criteria for Industry Professionals to Nominate an Inventor: You must be a toy or game industry professional to nominate inventors. Please provide your full name, company, job title, email address and website (if applicable). The accomplishments of the inventors you nominate may have been an individual product, sum of many products, or contributing inventor of many projects. Please submit two nominees in each category: Excellence in Game Inventing, Excellence in Toy Inventing, and Rising Star Inventor.

Who selects the Winners?
The Top 3 Finalists Summary of Accomplishments in each category will be posted to this site. You will be notified when the top nominees summary of accomplishments are posted. We at TAGIE are working hard to interest national magazines, newspapers, and network television shows to open a voting ballet to their readers and viewing audience as well.
The Top 3 Inventors in each category will be sent an invitation and complimentary ticket and personal invitation to the TAGIE™ Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, IL held on November 21, 2008. Toy and Game Companies and Inventors in the Top 3 will receive their logo and products invented in media articles and press to the public to celebrate toy and game inventors nationally. The award winner will be kept secret until the "May I have the envelope, please" on the night of the Celebration Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
